New Jersey has always had a hard hitting music scene and with the release of the new Knuckle Up! album "Motivation from Misery", well it's just getting even harder! The new album is filled with some of the most intense beats and riffs in hardcore music currently that if any such person were to hear it, they would uncontrollably burst into a fit of rage and cause sheer devastation to their surroundings. Now I may of exaggerated that a little bit but if you were to see these guys live, than that description would be putting these guys to shame.Don't believe me? Check out White Lighters, Third Person or the opening track Lilypads (don't let the name fool you) if you want see what I mean. Throughout the new album there is a theme of struggle with feelings of anger, hate and misery of living in today's society and the problems that we anyone person could face in day to day lives. The lyrics are obviously more personal for the band but interpretation leaves many to consume their own thoughts on what they feel to think. What separates this album from labeling them as every other "hardcore tough guy hate band" is their compassion and respect they give as a band to their fans and audience. It's called Motivation From Misery, not Misery, so I'm sure you could find the meaning in it yourself. All that can be said is that there's clearly something these guys having been fighting long and hard for so pick up this album and see just what that can be. I really don't like giving a rated number or grade on reviews but I must say this is A+ plus material my friends, so defiantly go out and pick this album up because they could use the money after what happened to their van. Well here's the link to their website as well as the link to buy some of their swag and music! Oh, lastly here's the music video for Third Person off the new album. Enjoy!
